I began sewing seriously about one year ago, mostly as a way to past the time post-grad when I'm in between shows, but also just to see how good I could get at it. I instantly became hooked and have been challenging myself with new projects ever since then!

I mostly make clothes for myself, having to adjust commercial patterns to my own proportions, but have also taken on the task of making custom pieces for my friends as well. I have some experience with slashing and spreading patterns, but hope to delve more into draping and patternmaking in the future.

Some of my favorite techniques that I've taught myself so far have been invisible zippers, understitching, French seams, machine embroidery, continuous laps, lapped zippers, inserting lace, and pintucks. I am so, so excited for what's to come!
